I Would Really Like To Know What Huma Abedin Is Thinking

Leopards usually don't change their spots.  This one certainly appears not to have changed much.

At what point does a woman decide that enough is enough and refuse to be publicly humiliated any further?  Is "keeping the family together" really worth it??

None of my business, of course.  Just can't figure out women who continue to stand by men like this.  Maybe I'm just too proud, but I'd like to think that if it were me, I'd have left a smoke trail behind me long since.

  1. Meh. I don't think infidelity is a big deal to me. Of course I'm intensely private so that part would make me really uncomfortable. But I think there are so many much more important things to me.

I haven't followed this because I want to shout THIS IS NOT NEWS, MEDIA, SHUT UP NOW (but remember, I don't have a TV and I cannot handle TV news). But the reason it was a problem before is that the sexting was unwanted. If he was chatting with somebody who was interested in him, I find no scandal in this at all.

I will say that I was at the post office this morning and it was on the news there, and the worker said, "She rolled her eyes at him right there!" and that's when I knew she was going to leave him. Apparently eye rolling is one of the greatest indicators of divorce.

  2. It's the public humiliation twice over for her that I'm having so much trouble with, I think. Infidelity is bad enough, but she seems to be an excellent ad for NOT being married to a public figure. His behavior probably has no bearing whatsoever on how good he would be as a mayor, except possibly as it relates to his judgment (although I did read an interesting story this morning suggesting that some of his behavior could be explained by bipolar disorder.)

And eye rolling is one of the primary indicators that a couple will divorce. I read a fascinating study about that a long time ago. It all correlates to respect. Not respecting your spouse is the beginning of the end!

Yeah, It's Been A While

These days, a lot of what happens in my life relates to my kids, and as they get older I am less comfortable sharing their stories.  I will ...
